One of the 2 Cafeteria-style restaurants, but this one has a charm of its own.
You shouldn’t expect much when getting a Schnitzel from under a heat-lamp, and while this is hardly my favorite meal, I will say the vibes of the restaurant along with the people who work there are both wonderful to experience.
The Review:
The highest point on the Classic and a great view (assuming you’ve made it to the point in the year where the Alpspitze is actually open for skiing!) Osterfelder 2000 has both indoor and outdoor drinks and services, with inside having a cafeteria-style food selection (and perhaps one of the tastiest double chocolate muffins I’ve ever had). Great portion of serving with two medium cutlets, a hefty serving of Preiselberee-Sauce (nice!) and plenty of condiments that you don’t have to pay extra for. As for taste – the downside of a cafeteria lunch is the fact the Schnitzel has been sitting under a heat lamp. With that being said, it didn’t taste bad, just kind of ok. Absolutely worth it for the price, views, and vibe, and overall a very solid Schnitzel.
